the project
For this project, I was asked to create a zine showcasing a debate from Intelligence2 called Don’t Bring Extinct Creatures Back to Life. I chose a zig-zag fold that reminded me of the bones of the extinct creatures in the debate to start. For inside spreads I copied my brother’s high school science notes in a journal fashion before scanning them in for background, as well as some scientific drawings I scanned in from old books and edited. The petri dish and mammoth skull features were hand-drawn by me. The zine back also features the Red List of extinct species as a background element.
